HOW YOU CAN HELP

The only way we can stop the forced unionization of small business owners is to ensure that everyone has the facts about family childcare unionization. All but a small percentage of family childcare providers are opposed to union representation; that does not make them anti-union, but pro-freedom. E-mail info@minnesotafamilychildcare.com to sign up to help.

  • Offer a Family Childcare Night of Empowerment in your area. We can come to you to present facts about childcare unionization, what has happened in other states, what happens next, and how it would affect providers, children, and families. These are not anti-union but educational in nature; the facts speak for themselves.

  • Educate others! Despite years of educating people about childcare unionization, many providers do not have clear information about this issue and many do not know how significantly this will affect them. Please share this website and FAQs with others.

  • Put a bumper sticker on your vehicle to show your support for the rights of small business owners. Suggested donation is $1 to help cover the cost. Please indicate the quantity in the notes section. If you would rather send a check, please e-mail us and we'll provide our mailing address.

  •

  • Write letters to the editor of your local newspaper, the Star Tribune, the Pioneer Press, and contact radio stations. The Star Tribune, Pioneer Press, Rochester Post Bulletin, and Grand Forks Herald are all opposed to family childcare unionization.

  • Sign a decertification petition, even if you didn't sign a union authorization card. This cancels out any card you signed and can be used to decertify the union through an election (30% of eligible providers would need to sign). They are only good for 6 months, so please make sure you update it and send it to the Coalition address listed:
